Ok, first of all…I have a soft spot for Yonekura Ryoko…Hehe. With that said, I choose to watch 35-sai no Koukousei (35 year old High School Student) because I like school-themed dramas and I kind of relate to those stories of bullying and insecurities even if I had not experience neither one in High School. (¬д¬。)
Ayako Baba is a 35 year old woman that mysteriously returns to school as a full fledged student. She has a great sense of honesty and righteousness. Every episode touches a different aspect of bullying (student-teacher, student-student, parent-student) and other problems students face nowadays. She also has problems dealing with the past school experience of someone she knew or her own (it’s not very clear from the get go) and her relationship with her father.
Like I said at the beginning of the post, I really like this kind of dramas and even though is a new story each episode the backbone of the story is really interesting. (ﾟﾛﾟﾉ)ﾉ I cannot wait to see what was the problem with Yonekura’s character. *Hehe*. (*´Д｀) The other characters are likable and you get to experience what they feel through their arc in the story. ．．．((( *-*)
I think is real the way they portray what happens after the situations have ended… how nothing goes back to normal. If you like teen angst dramas and real life problems this is the drama for you! (≧▽≦)
So, in the 90’s the original drama series went on air, in the 2000’s two Taiwanese dramas and a Korean version of this japanese manga turned to television series were broadcasted… and now everything goes back to Japan. In march 23rd the rebut of the drama aired it’s first episode. *Hehe* And here are my thoughts about this version.
Young and innocent Kotoko is in love with top of the class genius Naoki. So, she gathers her courage and decides to give him a love letter as soon as he arrives to school. But he flats out rejects her without reading the letter. Kotoko is devastated and becomes the target of her classmates stupid comments. With the help of her friends she gets involved in the moving of her family to a new house. But, a shooting star makes her house collapse. Even with everything building up, Kotoko is all smiles. Suddenly, her dad gets a call from an old friend that offers him to stay with them for a while. They accept, having no way to go, but as coincidence never fails it’s Naoki‘s parents the ones that made the offer. So, now, she has to live under the same roof as her ultimate crush who isn’t attracted to her because he persives her as extremely dumb.
This drama feels like a 90’s drama, which is good in a way. ( ﾟ▽ﾟ)/ The innocence of the story is definitely preserved. (//▽//) I haven’t liked Kotoko‘s character in any of the versions made because she’s too weak and devoted to Naoki, but there is no way of changing the way the character was created to be. *Hehe* The story I really like. (人･_･)♡ The whole I have to live with my crush bit is very romantic and funny in my opinon. So, this is another series I’ll keep watching to fill the void Nakuna, Harachan left. And seeing new faces on screen is always good. (≧▽≦) *Hehe*
Hello pretty people! Yesterday I saw xxxHoLic in it’s drama format. I think they did a pretty good job with it. But, that’s what this post is all about. Hehe.
Watanuki Kimihiro is a weird high school boy that has the ability to ghost and spirits. One day, he accidentally enters a big mansion where two girls welcome him into what they call a store. The store manager, Yuuko, presents her self as the owner and asks if he has a wish needed to be granted. He can answer that question but she has hit a spot with him… He wants to be different but she requires a payment of equal value for her to grant his wish…
The first episode on my opinion was great! ヾ(＾∇＾) It excelled at being a bit creepy and I loved how the characters were introduced. The filming quality is really good, it almost looks like a 30 minute short film. It sounds weird but the thing I loved the most about watching this first episode was the intro. Hehe. (≧▽≦)
My only hope is for the story not to get too repetitive in the save a fairly innocent person who is destined to have a horrendous fate … But, that’s not something I can’t live with. Hehe. (*^ｰﾟ)v
The actress playing Yuuko (Anne Watanabe) was a great choice, her long and stylish physique makes her a great match to the anime/manga character. I mean, I think every character looks like it’s anime/manga counterpart. Hehe. (人･_･)♡ I’m surely gonna get watching this one and it’s been added to my list of “currently watching dramas“. If you are a fan of the anime/manga version be sure to give it chance. ヾ(●ω●)ノ
Here are some other pics I liked from the first episode:
