10 Days of Halloween

I usually steer away from horror movies but Halloween is getting just around the corner and I got some classic movies to get the gory and creepy mood on. Hehe(^▽^) One of the movies was The Shining, which I’ve never seen (yes… I know…I’ve been living under a rock) ヾ(_ _*) and The Lost Boys, pop-culture vampire movie that I’ve never seen either but really want to.

Jeje.

TheLostBoysSuper nice poster may I add. ¡Excelente afiche!

I also got Tremors and They Live classic creepy movies that I really liked when I saw them a long time ago. They bring back memories of when I was little and used to watch them on the local channels. Friday the 13th and Halloween could not be left out.

Tampoco podía faltar Friday the 13th y Halloween.

TheyLivePoster So each night I’m watching one movie until Halloween. I’m thinking of adding a Japanese or Korean movie to the mix, v(*’-^*)ゞ like Ju-on or any of those Asian horror classics that I love. Do any of you have a favorite horror movie or have a similar marathon going on?

Friday Movie Madness: Aku no Kyoten (An Evil Lesson)

Last week I began my vacations from my second job, so I had time to watch some of the movies I’ve been wanting to watch. The first pick was Aku no Kyoten, directed by Takashi Miike. I knew it was going to be a bit bizarre and it didn’t disappoint. Hehe.

Hasumi Seiji is a popular English teacher at a private high school with a very dark past. He is in fact a psychopath trying to blend in. The school has it’s problems, bullying, teachers blackmailing students, improper student-teacher relationships and few other things too. When math teacher Tsurii Masanobu starts investigating Hasumi all hell breaks loose and his psychological condition begins worsen.

I really didn’t know what to expect about this movie, but I really enjoyed it. (≧▽≦) The story was engaging from the beginning and the characters had complex personalities(。 I wasn’t expecting the psycho blood filled action part of the movie because I hadn’t read anything about the film nor have I seen a trailer or clip. Hehe.

Takashi Miike has been responsible for some of my recent favorite Japanese films and I really like his style. I would recommend this movie to anyone that likes his films, or those that enjoy a heavy psychological thriller. Be sure to watch it! (′▽`o)ノ゙

See ya in the next post!

Friday Movie Madness: Helter Skelter

Hi, everyone! Yesterday I saw Helter Skelter starring Sawajiri Erika. It was her return to the big screen since filming Closed Note in 2007. Σ(・oノ)ノ This movie is really crazy, she plays Lilico, a big-time model with a problem attitude that fights dirty to stay on top on this ever revolving industry. She does it all, commercials, photoshoots, movies and dramas(●゚д゚●) Every girl wants to be her, but she holds a big secret that could bring her whole career down.

What most of her fans don’t know is that Lilico was made to look like that by professional plastic surgeons, but when her body starts to show its weaknesses her mental health start to deteriorate. (°◇°;) This movie has a very complete story, sexy and but it also has very crude sex scenes. (″ロ゛) So, be careful who you watch it with. Hehe. (≧▽≦) Let’s say we get to see Sawajiri Erika in a whole different light.

It’s a good movie and they didn’t change much from the original story (manga) that it’s based on, so for me that’s a plus. ┗(`ー´)┓┏(`ー´)┛ And if you happen to like the Erika-san I’m sure you’ll enjoy this movie. (○゚ε^○)v

See ya later!
